Looking at her work, we decided to use the following steps:
1. The scene should be created using simplified shapes.
2. Shapes should be outlined with black marker.
3. A shade lighter than the fill color should be used to outline within the black lines.
4. Her figures have faces with bold lines, as opposed to small details.
